Hm, I'm never a fan of songs that are well over 6 minutes. I always feel like there are parts that can be taken out to make it somewhere around 5 to 6 minutes. So to satisfy someone like me I wouldn't have minded it being a bit shorter. Short attention span and whatnot sorry.

The song itself was pretty good. I was impressed how it never got too repetitive or boring even though it was quite long. It had a good beat and was pretty fast paced all around.

You did a great job at mixing two different songs into one as well. I had no clue after listening to it that it was two different songs and wouldn't have known until I read your author comments.

yeah it is a bit too long. Even for my own taste i must add! I think i might tweak around with it. oh and yeah i have to say the mixing was pretty easy to do to put the two songs together and it turned out pretty good. you know... except for the whole "totaly different genre" thing. Anyway, Thanks allot for the review!

Cheers!

There seems to be much room for improvement in this song. The content that you did use in this song sounded pretty good, but I think it's more about what you didn't use in this case.

It was kind of boring and nothing new or exciting ever happened in it. Actually, not much happened at all and then it just kind of ended leaving me unsatisfied. That's what she said.

The introduction was probably the strongest part of this submission and you do have potential to turn this into a good creation. I just feel that it needs more going on and less of the same thing going.

Great, but not memorizing. Beautiful in itself, it isn't something that I would come back and listen to. Kind of long and drawn out, but still very relaxing and when it comes down to classical music it really doesn't get much better than this.

Hm, parts of me say keep it simple like it is and it'll be fine, but other parts of me say spice it up with something new and original. Give it something people haven't heard before. Do you simply want to create something that sounds great and that people will enjoy or do you want to take it to the next step and create something that they won't forget for a long time?

Again, as far as classical music goes it's very good all around.

Sure i have better works, and my goal is to make something that I enjoy, but more importantly.. that is true to the mindset or feel i make it in. And this one ofcourse is one of my oldest melodies.

This is what it's all about isn't it? I review audio after audio and I always hear the good, the bad, the mediocre, but man is it ever worth it when you run by a piece that is so beautifully done as this.

The originality, the sound, everything. It's basically left me speechless (I guess wordless is better since I'm typing). The song itself is universal in every manner. It could be used as so many different songs in so many different situations simply because it portrays so many emotions.

Seems like you've created somewhat of a masterpiece here. Very different from other things that I've heard.

I get the feel of some good old fashion RPG's that you'd play on the PS1. The kind of relaxing songs that would be great for a lot of city or town background music. Simple, but effective. (Just like that last song I reviewed)

I do find this one got a bit repetitive. I thought it was probably about 30 seconds to even a minute too long in length as well. I really feel that your song wouldn't hurt from being shortened a bit.

All in all though it was a good song to listen to. For not knowing much about the genre you did a pretty good job with the classical sound in this song.

Herdunculus responds:

Wow, thanks for such a positive review! I am quickly working on shortening the length, and I will submit it as soon as possible. As for the RPG thing, I actually was thinking of something like that when making this song, so I'm glad it gave the impression I wanted. Thanks again for the nice review!

The review below discourages me from reviewing this submission at all... I might not be able to review like the person below me has, but I can tell you that I thought this was a very beautiful piece that I enjoyed very much.

Simple, but yet more effective than most pieces that I've heard on this site. Very relaxing and it can even cover the sound of kids screaming not too far away from me about some video game and things like that.

It kind of makes you forget about the troubles of life and just really helps you relax both mentally and physically. Great job on this piece man. It's really good.

Hi Fro! Thanks so much for commenting (By the way, love the idea of the club! I'll be visiting the forum a lot for that reason =P )
It's cool to know it helps relax, and most important, forget about troubles. I think that is the most important aspect when listening to a piece, that it can touch your feelings, and be able to change your emotions to keep in touch with the piece. So for that, I thank you deeply, it means a lot! Thanks again!

Hm, I'm almost always a big fan of these vocals being used in songs like these, but these vocals just didn't sound that good in my opinion. Their quality wasn't too great and they weren't that easy to understand. They just seemed really out of place in my opinion.

The song itself without the voices was pretty good though. Very enjoyable indeed and a nice drum and bass mix. Again, the vocals were a good idea, just didn't work well in this situation.

jpgregorio responds:

Thanks man, i'll trt to fix the voices:p

I think that you explained this pretty well in your author comments when you said it was sort of dark and aggressive. I can see where it is both of these slightly, but not too much at the same time.

I enjoyed the fast/aggressive manner and I also enjoyed variety that you had throughout the submission. There was a lot of interesting sounds that you wouldn't expect to hear in a submission and it makes it very interesting indeed.

Two songs in a row now where I really haven't had any complaints over whatsoever. Great job in my opinion!

This was a really nice piece in my opinion. It never got too repetitive and it never got boring at all. There was a lot of variety and a lot of interesting sounds to keep me interested in the song.

The variety was a strong point in my opinion. The fast paced nature of the song made it enjoyable. Even when the song slowed down in certain places it still had that overall fast pace to it.

I really don't have much to comment on because I personally don't see much if anything wrong with it. A good job all around.

Wow i was expecting a more critical review for my first song but if you like it I can't complain, Thanks RRC

Not too bad at all. There wasn't anything that really made me go wow, but there wasn't anything that made me dislike it either so I'm kind of in the middle of whether I enjoyed it too much or not. I listened to it quite a few times and really noticed that you did a good job with mixing in some interesting instruments and sounds that you wouldn't necessarily here that often.

You had a good use of a guitar, but I would like to hear more of a heavier sound from the guitar every now and then or perhaps just some variety within the guitar itself. Decent song all around though.

OH35 responds:

Thanks. Regarding the guitar, we wanted to give more space to other instruments that's why it's not so heavy like in our other tracks.
