Why won't this work?

It sounds like a really good idea, but I just can't get it to work right for some reason. I would love to see it actually work though. =P Is it something wrong with my computer or is it now something wrong with the game because it looks like it has worked for somebody else before. D: I guess that's why I can't give it a low review because I'm not sure if it is just my computer or what. Oh well.

You know it's not that bad for a early game.

Animation/Graphics - I didn't think this was bad drawing wise. I know it's not the hardest thing to draw a smiley face. :) See I just did one there. Anyway, yeah nothing really wrong with the drawing at all. A couple of things that were kind of rough, but things that can easily be cleaned up. Looks like you weren't the most worried about how things looked because you were just testing out a new game and everything.

Story/Content - Just get to the other side without dying. Of course like you said this was just a test of your game skills and actionscript skills. The jumping was a little off, but that wouldn't be that bad with perhaps a bigger screen where you could jump over several different things and/or had moving enemies that came after you and stuff. Or perhaps just a ceiling to keep you down. =P I played through to win the first time and then I played through to lose the second time. Of course the play again button was a must and both endings were pretty good. The introduction was good the way you reminded people that it was just a test.

Audio - A nice song in my opinion. Not only did it go well with the game play itself, but it also went well with the ending credits and everything. Good choice here.

Overall - You probably have the potential to make a pretty high scoring simple game like this.

Needs a lot of work to become good.

Animation/Graphics - Not bad, but still needs a bit of work. The more you work with your drawing skills and animating skills the better your graphics will turn out. Kind of rough as of now, but still not that bad. The animation was pretty smooth as there barely was any. That's another thing, perhaps add more actual animation like things in the background. Moving clouds, bats, lightning, etc.. You know the details that really make flash animations good.

Story/Content - Not a bad Halloween type game. The idea is pretty good, but it just need more. It needs more levels, more pumpkins, etc.. maybe power-ups could be introduced such as a power-up like Slow Motion, where all of the pumpkins/cats move slowly for a slight second. More levels of course. I was thinking something around ten levels would be good for a game like this. Perhaps have a bonus round where if they get a certain score they can have a level where there is nothing but a bunch of pumpkins that go across the screen like a money round or something like that. Lastly, I think you should add something like ranking depending on what their score was. If someone hits almost all of the pumpkins and barely any cats then it should give them a ranking like "ace sniper" and a small description of exactly what that means. Vice versa if someone can't hit shit or even gets negative numbers add a ranking like "blind pedestrian".

Audio - I recommend adding some simple Halloween background music to it and if you added things in the background like bats, lightning, etc.. add the according sound effects to those new animations. The sounds that you had for the cat and the pumpkins popping were pretty good already. I thought the voice and his lines were pretty amusing and gave a good humor to this flash submission.

Overall - It needs a lot of work, but hopefully you like some of my ideas and you think about applying some of them to your flash. Good luck on your decision. :)

Loved it.

I took quite awhile to develop my level. It's only possible to play through the the ??? selection. It won't work with anything else. You had a lot of things to choose from and a lot of nice backgrounds to choose from. The power-ups were fun and this is just an overall fun game in general. Do you plan on making another one of these? I wouldn't mind seeing one with more power-ups, vehicles, etc.. Anyway, here is my level. Good job man.

You really are getting better.

Comments before actual review - Wow, I remember the first couple of flashes that you ever made and you showed us on the GS forums. You have greatly improved and it looks like you are getting pretty decent at actionscript? Do you think our madness flash will end up turning out good?

Animation/Graphics - Not good lol. Very rough and poorly drawn. The drawing themselves were very rough, but I'm also talking about the animation itself. Very glitchy and not smooth at all. Again it's a great improvement of things that you have done before, but it still needs to get much better before your flashes start receiving decent scores. When you choose the gun option the gun turns from the well drawn/sprite gun to the badly drawn gun. :( That's not good.

Story/Content - Not bad choices here. The ones that you had were decent and interesting. I think you need about twice as many that you have though. That's all that I can think about here. Add some new weapons and/or situations and that will improve the score of this flash. :)

Audio - A great improvement from the last flash of yours that I had reviewed. The background music was pretty good and you had some good sound effects added in. Unlike the last flash where you had neither.

Overall - The animation is really the only thing holding you back in your animations. Way too rough and it just doesn't run smoothly. Hopefully you can improve on things like that in the future.

Alright alright...

I always review your work a little bit different than "normal" work so here comes one of those short reviews. First off I was like, "Great more spam from this guy.." Then I clicked the play button and thought to myself, "Predictable". Same shitty animation, same shitty content, same shitty audio. (Even though the audio wasn't as bad as any of the other content) So anyway.. You got me here. You made me laugh and for that you get some points out of the review from me. The Zylophome line was pretty funny shit, but I do think that making a series out of this would make the jokes less and less funny every time and make this predictable and boring. Props for getting me to laugh though.

In my opinion one of your best games. The others were so simple compared to this one. Things like the calculator, guessing games, etc.., but this one actually looked like it took a bit of actionscript to make. A fun game. :D I love it when you finally get caught by the poozy bat and you get to read the ban message. What's next? A game where poozy runs over 13 year old kids in a car?

Comments before actual review - Not only should you be asking people to recommend this for the Dress-Up Games collection, but you should think about having them recommend it to the Politics collection too. There isn't any reason this shouldn't be in two collections. ;)

Animation/Graphics - This had very good pictures to choose from. They were nicely done. I was also happy that you included some animation in Obama there. Maybe some of the items could of had animation to them or something like that?

Story - I still think you can really improve in this section. Just Obama, but why not include both of the potential presidents here? That would of been pretty cool. I think you should of had a background that looked like a stage. You could of probably added a lot of backgrounds actually. The ones you had were good though. The things that you could dress Obama up in were nice, but maybe you should of included things like shirts and other clothings. Or things that you could put into the hands.

Audio - Nice sound effects when you picked weapons up, but some background music would of really helped here I think. Also, why is the genre under musical if there wasn't any music in it? :/

Overall - A few things need to be worked on and added in my opinion, but for what you have it is very nicely done.

Comments before actual review - I didn't really like this one too much. D: It was kind of just.. overused I think.

Animation/Graphics - Same thing with the animation again. There really wasn't any, but oh well. I can't think of any that you could of added to a submission like this. The text was in much better order and was better organized than your last flash submission. Colors used were alright and generally easy to see.

Story - Ouch.. some were funny, but again some weren't at all. There really weren't as many as it said there were because I went through the whole thing and started back at the beginning and I couldn't really find any secrets that were mentioned at all.

Audio - OH NO. You needed some audio man. Whether it is audio from someone clicking the button or maybe just as simple as some background music. That would of helped your submission out a little bit. :/

Overall - It really needed some audio and it wasn't too fun or exciting. It needed just a little something to make it funny.

Comments before actual review - Hm, looks like you have a couple more flashes than I thought. Are we still going to work on some more together?

Animation/Graphics - Pretty much no animation at all. I think that you should of added something like animated pee for the pee one or something of the sort. At least some sort of animation to give us more then a slide show effect type of flash. Also, I think you should of worked just a tad on the layout. Sometimes the text wasn't in a orderly fashion and it just seemed very unorganized.

Story - You did have a lot of items to select from, even if I didn't really understand what most of them had to do with anything. Some things were funny and yet something I really didn't get at all. :/ While still somethings weren't funny and didn't really have anything to make sense. Even though you did have quite a few to select from perhaps you could of added more.

Audio - Good audio here. It reminded me of something that you would hear at a mall when shopping or something that you would see on television on one those shows where they are selling things.

Overall - This does need a little bit more added to it and just a little bit more humor added to it. I also think that it shouldn't really be considered an interactive movie because there were only a few things that you clicked.
