Just a little too cheerful to me to be evil, I mean like evil evil because it had that tone for sure, but it just didn't quite make it there. That being said I could vision this being in an old scary sega game or 8-bit flash game during the introduction. It may even make a decent gameplay song in that style of game, but I probably would end up turning my volume off or down after a few play through a.

It really ends abruptly doesn't it? No sort of build up whatsoever or actual ending other then the music just stops. Was it meant to loop around? If not then my biggest critique has to be the abrupt ending.

Well, what was ACTUALLY supposed to happen was that the bass was supposed to fade out with the rhythm chords whilst the drums kept playing, but the bass's distortion basically consisted of turning thr Sawtooth wave so loud that it distorted, so it ended up not fading out properly.

This would be my alarm for waking up in the morning, in fact it may just become that right now after a quick download. I've never been a fan of waken up all cheery and happy anyway. I rather wake up to wanting to beat someone's face in.

(This was uploaded last year on my birthday, nice)

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

That's how I wake up! Every. Day. Good to see you around again! Glad you dug it!

This used to be one of my favorite songs. I thought everything was great besides the, "I pushed my fingers into my eyes" vocals just didn't sound right. I'm not talking about how they sounded compared to the original because I understand a cover is obviously going to be different, I just mean they didn't quite sound good. Everything else was great though, the screaming was awesome, much better than the original in my opinion. Why did the song cut short? You were just about to get to the good part?!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Cheers mang! This was a satisfactory attempt at best. I was just testing the waters as my band was thinking of possibly covering this for live shows. I just mostly wanted to see if I had the chops to pull it off :) I didn't do the rest, because I didn't really want to learn it all. Kinda a tester.

Cheers for the listen and review, glad you dug it overall!

Added right to my favorites. Great vocals and loved the song. You wouldn't be willing to send me a message of the lyrics or respond with the lyrics would you?

As I walk
You will fall
I won't carry no one
At all

Through this death
Through this light
No longer shining bright
At All

Through this death
Through this light
No longer shining bright
At All

As I fall
To my knees
I clasp my hands and
Beg you please

You will see
All my pain
You won't take anything
from me

To give back
eternal slave
A faith that's washed out
I will bathe=

I fell to my knees
Don't pray for the things I need
Grip this task but stand
I never said believe

Cheers mang. Thank you so much for the review and listen!

While the song itself was really good, even dark in a way, I just didn't think it would b e great for a theme song. I could be wrong though, I have no clue what the wrestler is like though and the feel that you were going for.

Like I said though still awesome in itself.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Cheers mang!! It's a dark tune, pretty much modeled exactly for what he wanted. Worked really closely on all the aspects. It's definitely a different feel, but gets him there, in the end, that's all I can do :)

Such a rad thing, to do tunes for wrestlers. Probably my favorite!

Cheers again, brother!

If someone walked into the ring with this song backing them up I would definitely be paying attention and distracted if I was the other contender. Great job again. How long have you been getting your stuff thrown into movies and professional use now?

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Glad you dug it man! It was definitely a fun one as well!! These guys are so rad to do music for! Glad you like it!
Been working with movies and stuff for a couple of years, now. Not HUGE money, but definitely some rad times!

Cheers again, for the review and listen!!

That's literally 30 seconds of punch you in the fucking face right there. Great job!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

earhole rapage complete. Cheers mang!

Loved it man. Been a long time since I've been on the site and listened to your music. I forgot how good it was. I think I'll take the day to listen to a good portion of your songs and write up a few reviews.

Great theme for anything really, podcast, YouTube series, radio station, etc.. Keep up the good work.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Cheers man. I super appreciate the reviews and time spent listening to my creations! I had a lot of fun making these and am super pumped people dig them! Thanks for the awesome words, brother!

I could see this at the beginning of a flash, during a video game intro, or even an actual movie produced. The ending seemed abrupt to me though. I see that you were having it set up in a way that it could loop to the midway point, but at the same time it would have been nice to have some kind of epic build up towards the end of the song so if someone did want to end it there it wouldn't have felt so abrupt.

I really liked it. Sounds very professional all around. Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if I turned the tv on and heard this as an introduction to a movie. Kind of sounds like something a medieval war movie or show would use.

sleepFacingWest responds:

Thanks for listening! Sometimes there are loops that don't go back to the VERY beginning, but in this case it actually does. I still distribute an intro/loop file on my blog, though, because I cut the file so the last notes of the phrase decay while the initial material starts again. The loop actually starts a little late into the phrase, and cuts out partway through the next iteration.

You're absolutely right about it ending a bit abruptly. When I was writing it I felt like I could just keep going, but this was sort of an effort to expand my stylistic portfolio and force myself to write quickly. In previous years I've taken a VERY long time to write anything, but I'm attempting to freelance with music for awhile and learning to use my tools faster and crank ideas out is sort of imperative. I also need to show a little more of what I can do; my personal work is mostly in a specific music-nerd vein and it's next to impossible finding work doing the geeky stuff. This is sort of like a demo of what I could do for potential hired projects. When all is said and done, though, there's no reason the music should just sit there doing nothing. I decided to create a blog that would work as a living portfolio. I write pieces in various styles and genres, and then people can use the music if they'd like. Hopefully it will help me find more work.

All that said, I'd love to pick this back up someday and add a proper ending to it. Hopefully I'll find the time, but right now scrounging for gigs is keeping me pretty busy.

Here's the blog I mentioned earlier: http://sleepfacingwest.tumblr.com/

Hows it been?

A nice song man. It's been awhile since I listened to something of yours and it looks like I may have some catching up to. It definitely has the heavy sound that I've been craving lately from my music. The lyrics are great as well my friend.

I don't have the desire to write long reviews like I use to, but when I'm enjoying everything and not finding faults in the song I guess it doesn't really matter!

Rock on

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Glad you dig, brother... Not necessary to write long reviews. I don't. It takes away from the listen-ability of the tune...appreciatory reviews are even better than critique.. You enjoyed, then it's mission accomplished on my end. haha

Glad to see you, out and about, dude. Thanks for the review!@@.
