This is really fun.

I can imagine a whole friggin comic series about a hero/anti-hero/vigilante chicken like this. Then I see it's going to be a card game?! What?! Where can I find more information out about this card game? It's definitely something worth checking out!

Cool use of colors, awesome style, funny idea. I like everything about it.

VortexVisionz responds:

Haha thanks! I’ve been creating these food characters since 2018 and they’ve sprouted into an idea for an official card game. Once all the characters have been created I will be starting a Kickstarter. For now, shirts are available in the shop (this one soon). Feel free to follow any of my social media @mintyfreshthoughts for more! :D

I know this is just concept art, but there's something that I absolutely love about your sketching style. Just in the sketches of your lines there is so much life. It's almost as your sketches could be stand alone projects, but then you go and add colors to it and really blow my mind.

You are by far one of my favorite artists on newgrounds because of this.

Mitchelf responds:

Thank you Fro, that means a lot to me. When I sketch I always consider a grimdark atmosphere first and foremost, even if the drawing is meant to be silly. I want to give off the feel that there's always something else going on underneath the surface of the character - Usually something unpleasant! The idea with this design was to create a yandere character that you could reasonably see being a creepy stalker and not just a pretty girl who somehow became obsessed with a particular person when she could have gone for anyone and succeeded. In this case she is obsessed with marrying a particularly powerful individual and sees violently destroying his foes a way to achieve that goal despite being a lowborn who isn't conventionally attractive.

I absolutely love it! I instantly followed. Literally checking this out gave me the massive urge to download and play an old school RPG game. I think it's the first thing I do when I go home haha. I know that might sound weird, but it just gave me a weird sense of nostalgia.

I think it helped that I was listening to this https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/939241 in the audio portal at the same exact time by @kaiserkothe (no advertisement, just happened to be viewing this and listening at the same time) They seemed very fitting together.

Not really much to say other than I think it's about perfect. I can't wait to check out your other work.

clayscence responds:

thank you so much!! it does have that old rpg aura haha I really appreciate it! thanks for sharing the audio, it's great!!

Really basic, but also a super clean and well done piece. I could see this being a piece in a bigger picture or animation. I think the wear and marks in the wood give it a cool rustic look and that it would be a good fit for an old school RPG game or something similar.

TheGreenFox responds:

thanks this was actually a piece of a bigger project that is not done yet..because i need to learn code first but yeah it actually is for a game

I love the large amount of line work and detail. It really makes these pop off of the page and even gives them a bit of depth like they're a little 3D. I could definitely see this being the style in a graphic novel or comic book.

Are there are plans on adding color to this eventually or is it a stand alone black and white project?

Urichov responds:

Thanks, first off, I was going for a perspective-heavy look, at least as far as the motorcycle is concerned, which is basically why this drawing took so long.

As far as colour is concerned, I tend to find it difficult to add colour to a black and white drawing after I've finished it, since the line density sort of defines the tone, and then once I add the colours I imagine to fit the concept they can end up throwing this tone off, so whether I later add colour to it or not is up in the air, but I don't have any immediate plans to.

This might not be stand alone, though, as I think drawing a snail-operated robot is inherently funny and I may end up doing more big illustrations of this concept just for a laugh, maybe putting the snail in different robots depending on what I want it to be doing.

I just stumbled across your art and I'm super happy I did! I'll have to check out your other work. Purple and blue are my favorite colors to see in artwork and not only does this one use them really well, it seems like a lot of your other work does as well.

I recommend the viewer zooms in to really get the effect of how well done this is.

CowFz responds:

Eyy that's great to hear that we share the same favorite colors man! I don't know to me blue and purple colors for most things gives me a very chill mood most of the time and calms me down a lot. and thanks for the kind review as well!

I think your artwork and style is getting consistently better over the course of time. I know this is a slightly different style, but its a huge improvement over last year's Pico Day submission.

Keep up the great work! Its been nice watching your style and quality grow as an artist.

WonderSchwifty responds:

At the moment , I usually practice on paper behind the scenes and stuff. As during the moment, I'm trying to be fresh before I get in to art school this autumn and stuff. Thanks, I try much as I can an test different styles and stuff during time.

Wow!

I would buy this on a poster! It would also simply make a pretty great computer background. Awesome work, good job getting so many characters in there with that high of quality work.

Kengabr responds:

thankyou soo muchh ! glad you like it !

This picture really makes me realize that even though I've had my newgrounds acxount since 2004.... I have no clue who a good portion of these characters are.

Ive done the website a deservice by ignoeing the portals for way too long. I never watched any animation or even noticed anything with the green blob guy or airplsne, but have noticed them before.

I think you did a great job, but woukd have almost liked to see a picture full of characters. (Or have the characters in the picture take up all the space) The background in the top right almost feels like you ran out of time and feels a little rushed!

Kutaykomiks responds:

There were some more characters I would like to add but like you guessed, I ran out of time. I also chose to add only one character for each creator (with the exception of Pico and Alien Hominid) to feature the stuff that affected me the most, like a super private party. My intention was to write "Happy Pico Day" using fireworks but they looked more like stars. :P Thank you for the review Coach Fro!
P.S: The green guy is from Red Diamond Dragon Club and the toy airplane is commonly used in Animutations.

This looks like some sort of dictatorship where Mr. Fulp, our glorious leader is being portrayed as this great and happy leader by the tankmen and a few supporters, but we all really know we are all getting fed 5-10 experience a day and are barely alive.

Where's Pico and the gang? They could hsve made an appearance right?!

Nice Pico day submission!

ChazDude responds:

Pico is watching from atop Wade's tomb, behind Steve. Thanks for the compliments!
