Way too basic of a game.

Graphic wise it's just a bunch of copied/pasted dragons off of the internet along with a copy and pasted background. Nothing original here at all. Even at that, it's not really well done. There's a ton of white outside of the dragons.

It becomes clear after a little bit of trial and error where to click and what dragon does what, but some description would go along way here.

I mean, I could go on and on with this one, but I won't. It generally needs to improve everywhere. There's no goal, there's nothing. What is there is painfully basic and not well done. It basically has no reason to play for more than a couple of seconds and definitely people wouldn't come back to play it again.

i will take that on in the next version i'm not sure why there is a really white background or the music isn't there thanks for your feedback (this was my first project so don't be so hard on me (i am a kid))

Must play, highly recommended.

Great job MonoFlauta and gang.

MonoFlauta responds:

Thank you a lot for trying it out! The gang also says thanks!

Well I haven't finished it yet, but I feel that I'm starting to make some progress. It's really fun, something that I may purchase the full version of some day for sure. I also realize that I haven't played through number 4 so after this one I'm going to have several more weeks of gaming to go!

I should have switched the game to epic mode before I started playing because I'm going to miss out on some medals because of that. There's not a way to go back without playing the entire game again on epic just to try and get those medals is there? If not, I'll most likely just go for everything besides those medals.

I seriously should have taken time off of work for this. :P I've had to limit myself to 2 hours a day playing when I should be doing work...

matt-likes-swords responds:

You can re-fight bosses in the full version, so moving your save file to that is also an option!

The icon for the purging event was artistically chosen and highly appropriate. Was only going to give 1 star before I saw that. Saved yourself.

Little-Rena responds:

And that is why you are both the best, and worst mod!

I feel like I missed something. On the 13th I got the knife and talked to everyone, but I couldn't use it on that day. Now I can use it but it really doesn't do anything? Did I miss something on one of the days?

Edit* @GeoKureli

Was the killing only allowed on the 13th as well?

GeoKureli responds:

If you had the knife and pressed spaced while touching the killer you would have killed them. the stab animation was there because people thought they lost the knife or something.

BrandyBuizel responds:

That was all just a Friday the 13th exclusive game, if you got the knife from it you get to keep it

It took me a little bit to get all of the medals, but I eventually did. The regular mode was super easy, because for the majority of the map you can just ride the very top and only drop down to the rest of the map when something shows up. I gave up on that part and let myself die because I feel like I could have went for a long time and didn't have any incentive after the 100 medal, perhaps if there was a 200 medal or even a 300 medal people would have more motivation to keep on going.

It actually took me awhile to find out that you can just click and hold the pen and it'll continue to go up. During the Fan mode I was just spamming the click and it I kept dying, but as soon as I figured out you could just hold it down it made it super easy. Knowing that before I would have had an even easier time in the regular mode.

Overall I really like it though. It's quite simple, but I've always loved when graphics and real life pictures are added together. It's a bit easy and could use with some sort of punishment such as when riding the top and bottom of the screen you get points slower or something like that.

kbvpneofit responds:

Now this idea is not possible, I turned off the screen adaptation

I currently have the high score, but I'm sure that I'll get passed up on that eventually. For some reason when I first started I thought this game was way too hard. In fact, I tried 4-5 times and simply couldn't get pass the first level. I decided to mix it up a little and noticed you could in fact start from any level. I started at level 2, and stayed in defense mode until I had about 3-4 of the strongest ships. I then went into attack mode and just kept buying the two different best tanks back and forth. This got me past this level with little difficulty. The boss did make it through, but I had just enough to buy one more expensive tank and the cheapest one. This was enough to finish him off.

The rest of the game was super easy from there. Since you get a bunch of cash for beating the final boss and start the next level with the cash that you kept from the last level you can go ahead and buy about 10 of the toughest tanks right from the beginning. I actually even saved up enough cash sometimes to go ahead and fill my ranks with 20 of the toughest tanks right off the back. Basically it was just a waiting game until the end of the level at that point and really took no strategy past the first level.

So a few things I guess with no specific order.

It's weird that the 2nd level was kind of easier than the first level to me.

It's odd that you can just choose whatever level to start off with.

I don't know why you can just keep continuing over and over on the levels that you've already passed and continue to add to your score. The only reason I eventually lost was so I could just finish the game. Meaning anyone with enough patience can beat my high score with little effort because the game just kind of plays itself eventually. In fact, I just let the game play in the background the entire time I wrote this review.

Why can't we see what the tanks do? What's the difference between all of the tanks? When we hover our mouse over them we should be able to see what's so special about them. They need ratings like, Health, defense, attack, and speed.

If the game had been more difficult you could add more options such as mines and special abilities for every version of a tank. Some could have a strong missile attack, some a shield, some could go invisible to get better position on enemies etc...

As other reviewers have already said the screen is too small. The game is kind of unclear at first, but after reading you introduction in your description it really is a pretty simple and clear cut game. Clicking and moving tanks was difficult, but I found also useless. I never used it on any successful run of the game.

Overall, a very basic game that is way too easy once you figure out how to get past a level. Simple things such as adding ratings to the tanks so you can make decisions on what's best for each scenario instead of just assuming the top 2 most expensive tanks are the only real option you should go with.

I think you can make this into a great game eventually.

LucasCCB responds:

Thanks for the comment my friend I really have to improve a lot yet, Of course Congratulations you have the geito played very well.

No spam on newgrounds please. I will ban this with my mod powers.

Oh wait, I can benefit from it with medal points? Ok then.

Oh wait, I now can't move my hands for the rest of the year? Worth it.

ninjamuffin99 responds:

ez points just for you fro

This was surprisingly fun!

To me this is a game that represents newgrounds and it's medal system very well. The medals are just challenging enough to make you play through the game multiple times, but for casual gamers like me just easy enough to get without pulling your hair out.

It reminds me of some old school games on newgrounds. I enjoyed it so much I went back and got all of the medals on the older games except for one where the triple kill was too difficult for me.

Super simple, fun and easy. I liked it a lot.

Darren responds:

Don't blame you, admittedly the triple kill one depends a bit too much on random luck of getting the right enemies in a row. Glad you got a kick out of the games, they were very much made to be in the spirit of Newgrounds.

I'm really bad at this game.... Maybe I'll practice it daily to try and improve my memory. Or at least until I get all the medals...

I also downloaded and left a review on the play store.

MonoFlauta responds:

You can train it every day while watching the ads in the mobile version :) hahaha
Thanks a lot for playing!
