Nice song.

Wow, wouldn't I like to have it be summer right about now. *Looks outside* It's rainy and somewhat cold. Not quite the weather to take your shirt off and go run around outside yet. Oh well, it'll be here soon enough. :)

I see this song starting of with a scene of bad weather outside. A kid is quite upset about this and then all of a sudden the weather gets sunny and bright. He then gets happy and runs around to the tune of this song exploring and seeing all of the fun things that people are doing.

Overall this is a good quick pace song that has a fun sound to it. Good job on it.

Good.

It's pretty good all around. I don't think there really is much to critique about in my opinion. Decent song all around and it had a decent build up effect. A very interesting type of sound in this piece too. I feel a lot of originality when listening to this.

It kind of has a deceptive sound to it. Kind of like in your author comments. You kind of know something is there, but you'll never really know or actually see it. Or at least that's how I interpret it when listening to it.

Nice interpretation you have there, it's really the effect I was looking to shoot for and you caught it. :P

Great job.

I really enjoyed listening to this submission. It was really upbeat and fun to listen to. You did a great job on the video game/Sonic feel with this submission. The song itself never got boring or never really slowed down to be honest. You had a great variety of instruments too, which only helped your cause.

This also sounds like it would make great credits for a flash submission whether it be a game or a movie. Almost the your happy, but also sad that it's finally over type of credits if that makes sense. I also think that the fade out at the end worked really good with the song.

LightKeeper responds:

If this submission were ever released as part of a flash that'd just make my day. One thing I was trying to generate was that flow of energy that you're getting, and I'm glad I was able to. The fade out at the end was really unplanned though for the most part. Originally I envisioned the piece being longer but I slowly grew to the fade and it stayed with the piece. Glad it still worked well with the piece. :P

Thanks for the review Corky52!

Not bad.

With a title like this you would expect a build up effect and you used one quite well in this song for a little bit. I was expecting it to go crazy towards the end of the initial build up that you had, but you let it relax a little bit. So you let it build up like rising anxiety, let it build up, and then you just let it die back down before it really hit it's climax in my opinion.

Other than that it has a nice tune to it and it sounds like you did a great job. I just thought it needed to be finished off with something bigger than what you used.

TwilightShade responds:

Thanks for the review.

Although rising anxiety does constitute a buildup, which was the main focus of the song, it doesn't always have to explode. Sometimes things can settle down before that point is reached, but I understand your stance. I could definitely see a more explosive climax improving the song.

Great job.

I can't really think of too much to criticize in a review for this submission. The only thing that I could think of was that perhaps the mic didn't pick the sound up the best as the quality sounded a bit muffled every now and then.

Other than that everything about the submission was awesome. The sound, length, beat, etc... Great job on this and I'm starting to enjoy your songs. Make sure to keep requesting in the RRC.

Ok! Ill request as much as i can without breaking your rules :)

Not bad.

It really does remind me of the FFX battle scenes. (Damn now I want to play that again :( Man what a good game)

You did a great job playing this and you do a pretty good job on creating that video game type feeling. Great length in the submission and good all around. I really can't think of anything wrong with it at all.

Good recreation!

Thanks! I have been looking for my copy of FFX for a week now andjust found out my brother lent it to a friend :(

Has a video game type feeling.

I got a good video game type feel out of this song. The games that it reminded me of where Final Fantasy and Legend of Dragoon. (Two games that I play throughout the week at anytime :p)

Other than the good video game feeling I got out of it though I noticed how repetitive it was. It was so repetitive that while I let it play and I lurked the BBS I thought the song had played over quite a few times, but it was still the same thing playing over and over.

I guess that's how the songs do sound in Final Fantasy though. Perhaps a little bit of variety would improve the song, but I do think it would sound great in an RPG as the ambient background. Probably during a creepy level or something like that as it does have a decent scary feeling to it.

Yeah this is from Final Fantasy 10. it is when you are about to fight seymour. :)

Ha awesome.

It really does sound like Insanity. Not exactly what my insanity would sound like, but everyone would here it in their own way. Mine would be much heavier then this personally, even though yours was a little heavy.

I got a decent laugh out of your dial up comment in your author comments because I still have dial up at home and I know how that sound is. >.<

So great interpretation of what insanity sounds like. You should try and make a heavy metal one sometime.

nihilisticeq responds:

I could make it br00talz as hell. Meshuggah br00talz. I am working on a sort of far out metal song but its more trippy fusion metal and not batshit insane metal kind of stuff. ( has some of that batshit crazy buckethead tapping type action going on though )

Also its not a serious attempt at a interpretation of insanity, it was just a cool title because it sounded crazy in the head.

Not too bad.

A nice little upbeat submission. It gets a little repetitive at first, but you changed it up by cutting out one of the noises around 26 seconds. The only problem with it was that it seemed to end abruptly right there. Making that transition a little bit smoother with something like a fade out might help a little.

The song itself is kind of short and really doesn't loop to well. It has a distinct ending and there is a nice pause between the start/finish time. If you want it to be a loop perhaps make it a little bit of a smoother transition from the beginning to end and cut down on the time in between.

You had a couple of interesting pieces of noise and beats in this, but it really wasn't anything too interesting or original. There is almost a video game type feeling with parts of the song.

:) thanks for the review. :)

Nice tune.

I personally got a little bored listening to this as it really seemed empty. Perhaps something like your own vocals or just some remixed vocals would have sounded pretty good here.

For the most part though it's a very relaxing and soothing song to listen to. It has a nice build up effect throughout the song. Not too much to improve on except for in my opinion it sounded empty. Nice remix all around.

Mad-Muppet responds:

Thanks, yeah it might be a bit empty, though I like minimalism ^^ I can't sing at all, so that's a no-no. But sweet review anyhow :D
