My last audio review for the week and I found it to be a great one to end on. The introduction was done really well and got me hooked into the submission. The song itself got a little repetitive, but never really got terrible.

I wasn't watching towards the end of the song and I thought that you had an error because the beginning almost sounded exactly like the ending. That's not bad, but the ending really wasn't there. It just ended right in the middle of something. Some sort better series of notes might have made this better. Pretty good all around though.

(There are too many 9's in a row...)

I wanted to make my intro the same as my outro because I want it to be mixable for other dj's like me.

The very first note reminded me of Resident Evil. :P

It was pretty good all around. I really enjoyed listening to it and it was very relaxing. I think one of the below reviewers said it best when they said it took their breath away. It was just one of those nice and relaxing songs.

Instruments were great, but it almost sounded like a few notes were off here and there. I really don't know much about music so that might be misinformed. Still sounded off to my ears in a few spots though.

Overall, very good and relaxing.

I must have a different opinion than the other reviewers. I loved how fast paced it was and loved how you made an old song original in your own way!

The vocals really surprised me. I didn't expect them to be there at all and I thought it was awesome the way that you used them. Perhaps introducing the vocals at the very intro could have made me more prepared when I heard them later on.

The ending was pretty cool as well. You usually hear songs ending abruptly or with a fade out, but the way that you did it was really cool and original. I liked this song a lot. Great job.

It sounds like it would be great background music so great job there. I'll have to admit that it had a great sound and even though it got repetitive it never really got boring. Actually it was a pretty fun song to listen to.

The vocals were great and I don't think the submission would be very good without them as it tends to break up the repetitiveness and adds a nice touch of variety in there. It could actually be several minutes shorter and probably be just as good if not better though.

Great job! A very original sound along with a lot of good variety. There were a lot of cool effects and the vocals in the submission really added a lot to the overall production.

The bubbly sound in the beginning was really cool and I had never heard anything like it in a song before. This is good all around and it's probably my favorite audio that I listened to today. Keep up the good work.

As I said... Not everything was of my creation... Though it may sound good... I can't take all the credit here... I'm glad you enjoyed the mix though and I hope to put out a few songs from my album in progress! Thanks for taking a look! ^_^

Well you tricked me. I saw it was rap and as soon as I heard the "hard life" part I was like, "Oh boy not another person thinking their fucking life was hard and their going to cry about it." BUT you didn't. You rapped about something great! You rapped about what you could have done and what you are doing now to make it better. That's good stuff man and the lyrics sound true like they came from the heart. I respect that.

The instruments were really good and the static effect was good as well. I personally had nothing against the vocals like some people did and I thought they were pretty decent all around. Not bad and it's good to hear a positive side of the negative things. It shows me that some people have their head on straight.

The first time that I listened to this I thought it was mediocre and that it really wasn't too good or exciting. Then I read some of the other reviews that said there were vocals in it and I had never heard them the first time. I had to turn my computer way up to hear them and that's not good. Make them louder and this song would be much better!

I'll admit turning it up and listening to it a second time through was much better than rushing into a vote or a review after the first one, but like another person said make the vocals stick out more and use them to your advantage.

Well, I made the song as I heard it through my speakers and that could have been my first problem. Only testing it through my speakers and my iPod. To me, I didn't need the speakers loud at all to hear the vocals. Actually, they can be barely on, and as long as I hear the beat, I can hear the vocals.

Thank you for your review, and I'll see what it sounds like louder now.

Not too bad. It had a lot of interesting noises and sounds in it, but there were also some faults as well. It actually reminded me of a song that I had heard before, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Like it almost sounds like you took parts out of a real song and edited it.

The problems that I had with it were that it got very repetitive after awhile and kind of turned me away from the submission. I find that the ending fade out wasn't really good. I would have rather heard this song end on a shorter fade out or a series of notes instead.

I tried a couple different things with the fade out at the end, and this is what I liked best, but I guess that's not too good lol.

As far as the resemblance to another song, I didn't have any song I was trying to duplicate, but if I accidentally did, I'm sorry! It's always my intention to create 100% original stuff.

The beginning has this really creepy sound to it that it keeps pretty well throughout the entire submission. I think when it speeds up a bit it loses that feeling a little, but it still holds it to some extent. I do like the fact that the speed of the song changes after awhile.

It never really gets repetitive or boring and in my opinion it could really be an universal song. It sounds like something that could be used great with credits or an introduction, but also perhaps a sad scene in a movie as well. Pretty good job all around.

Lamplighter responds:

Merci beaucoup. I'd love to see this in a movie... at least I hope it'll get spread around enough to be used in a flash on here. That would be swell :)

I was digging it all the way from the beginning, but once you introduced the guitar it got really good. It was a nice mix of genres that you might not hear together everyday and it was done in a very nice matter.

I'll agree that even though it was pretty good and had a lot of variety at first that it does tend to get a bit repetitive towards the end of the song. There isn't any reason you couldn't cut it down and it would probably make it a bit better in my opinion.

Another positive feedback, and I thought people wouldn't like our genre here, seeing how this got 3-4 zeroes like after 1 second I submitted it to the audio portal!!

We really appreciate the criticism regarding the track lenght. As I said in the previous review, we really liked the idea of repeating the solo with very subtle differences in the accompaniment. Perhaps a little more variations would have made the repeated solo a bit more enjoyable to the listener...
