[OLD MOBS EP3]

I think you perfected it.

Number 1 was my favorite and this one is my second favorite so far.

~ Animation/Graphics ~

This looks much cleaner than last time. I really don't think you can improve too much more than you already have, but keep working and I'm sure you'll get a tad bit better even though there isn't much room for improvement.

~ Story ~

I rather see a submission like this that has a completely random and funny story, but still follows a story. You really don't see a series with quality this high that follows a story anymore.

I really love this series and I'm going to keep watching, voting, and reviewing as long as your making them. I liked how you introduced more characters, which just adds to the possibilities of what you can do with the story.

~ Audio ~

I think the voices were much clearer in this one and that the music and sound effects were really good. The lip syncing looked to be off in a couple of spots, but nothing too major. Something to perfect in the next episode.

~ Overall ~

I really enjoy this series a lot. One of my favorite series on newgrounds to be honest. I'm sure you will have your own page someday with all of these submissions.

Great job.

I have a question for the submission itself. How do you embed a video into a flash submission and have the audio not get all off track? I've looked into it and it says to upload your video to a server or something like that, but I still don't understand... and do I have to pay for this server stuff? If you read this an author response explaining this to me would be greatly appreciated.

The submission itself was awesome. The special effects were great. How exactly did you create them?

Tom was funny as hell in these. Hopefully he does go to the Silent Hill meetup like he said he was going to because I want to meet the man. The faces, really cheesy acting, etc.. Everything about the humor of the submission was awesome.

The part at the end where he kept coming back and saying something different was awesome. That had me laughing so hard. It's actually a strategy that I used before in a movie that I made because it can really add a lot of humor to a movie.

Other than that this was awesome. I added it to my favorites. Good job to everyone who worked on this and congrats to everyone that won awards this year.

Also, lmao at the reviews that give this submission a 0 because the submission that they wanted to win didn't actually win.

Flash 10 converts the video into an FLV, same thing youtube does, once its in that format you can embed it into the stage.

Alright Krinkels.

It finally took me awhile to review this even though I was around the 8th person to view it. (I say around because I don't know how many people clicked the watch button before I did)

What I won't do in this review is give you a low score because I liked pass submissions more. To me that is just about retarded to do, but hey we do all have our own opinions.

Hopefully you do read this, but if not I understand how busy you are in life. I'd like to mention that I'm a coleader in the Madness Combat Fan Club here on newgrounds and that you should go check the club out sometime.

~ Animation/Graphics ~

I'm not going to lie I thought it ran rather slow. I even let this play on the lowest quality there was when I noticed that it was slow and it was still kind of slow.

Other than that great quality like always man. The smoothness of your animations is just about amazing. I can't even imagine the time and effort it would take to make things run as smoothly as you do.

I do think you could work on the quality of the icon a little bit. Other than that and the slow speed of the flash I say it's about as close as perfect that you can get with Madness. Oh wait it is. :P

~ Story/Content ~

I really don't follow the story as much as other people do, but I liked this one a lot. The length of the submission was great and it just seemed more realistic than some of the other ones. Don't get me wrong because there isn't anything wrong with random stuff, but this one seemed pretty straight forward.

This one included much more story than the other ones did and sometimes you need a submission like that to put everything together. Of course you set it up for another great episode. It seems like you'll never stop making these. When you do the club won't have too much to talk about anymore.

~ Audio ~

The amount of time and effort put into timing everything with the audio must also be crazy. Sound effects and music was awesome. Nothing to critique here at all.

~ Overall ~

You deserve nothing less than a 10/10 here. Coming from a big fan don't rush any future projects. Take your time and don't worry about the PM's from people asking when the next one is coming out.

Can't wait for the next one. I'll be reviewing you again whenever that next one might be.

Yeah, so props for you being smarter than the rest of newgrounds. I'm pretty sure you didn't have to mass vote it because of those things listed above also.

~ Animation/Graphics ~

I've seen a lot worse in a spam submission. At least here you do have what looks to be like a tweened movie clip if I'm not wrong. Hell even though graphics are a tad bit better than most spam submissions. I give you props on that even though what you did have wouldn't have taken more than 5 to 10 minutes. At least we aren't looking at a single frame spam submission that passed.

~ Story/Content ~

SPAM CAN STILL BE DECENT. Yes it can. Make it crappy like you did, but try to at least add some content behind it. Perhaps actually follow some of the stuff in your description and have things attacking him while he runs away. Adding some length instead of just the same loop over and over would make it much better even in terms of spam. Adding some sort of humor wouldn't hurt even though I do admit that character that you drew was kind of humorous.

~ Audio ~

OMG. Ha, that was so annoying. Make sure if that was something from the audio portal to credit it. I hope to god that wasn't though because it was enough to make somebodies ears bleed. Great choice for a submission like this, but some kind of weird voices or a scream seems to be more fitting.

~ Overall ~

Good job on fooling a bigger part of the newgrounds population, but just a bit more effort please. Not too many will complain about spam submission with effort in them. So work on the content a little and perhaps your future submission will earn a 2 or better on a vote from me. If you don't want to improve then it will continue to get my 0 on votes.

~ Animation/Graphics ~

The Good Points - Mouth animations seemed to be very good and you had decent backgrounds/drawings in the submission.

Things to Improve On - This is one place where the submission could be improved on. It had very simple animation. You had mostly the mouth and hands moving. If you were to come back and every redo this (which you probably won't :p) I would suggest making the animation a little more complex. Adding things like walking scenes and/or eye movements and other movements more smooth.

The drawings themselves could have also been worked on a little bit. They weren't bad, but they still have room to improve on.

~ Story/Content ~

The Good Points - This contained decent humor. The only real laugh that I got out of it was the scene where he hit himself in the head with the club, enjoyed it, and hit himself again. I think I enjoyed that the most because I would expect to see people doing dumb things like that even today.

Things to Improve On - The length of the submission left much to be desired. Not everything was very funny. I thought the fart joke was extremely lame and so wasn't the whole scene with the rock hitting the woman in the face. I personally thought you were going to have him try to kick her in the crotch first like he did to the other male and see that it didn't hurt her like it did the male so he took it out on her face.

About 3 more scenes with decent humor would have made this submission much better in my opinion.

~ Audio ~

Great sound effects and good voice acting. I can't really think of anything to critique on this section of the submission. Good job here.

~ Overall ~

Just work on the graphics a bit, smoother/more complex animation, and work on the humor/content of the submission and you would have a pretty good submission here.

P.S. - I think I know some people who still act like this today. Surprisingly still talk like this too.

A decent job on the animation. Looks like it was mainly a frame by frame flash. The style gives off a weird creepy feeling because everything is always moving and always squiggly. Nothing really to clean up too much here at all.

~ Story/Content ~

Dreams are always messed up like this. In our dream did you have the random Obey thing appearing? Your dreams are actually quite normal compared to mine. Not really bizarre at all.

The thing I noticed about this was that it was rather predictable. Once you started falling and the happy music started I just knew that you were going to fall to your death. Even though I saw it coming from a mile away I still laughed when he hit the ground. You know something is funny when you know it's coming and still laugh when it happens.

I didn't see the guy randomly throwing up at the end coming though.

~ Audio ~

Good job with the music all around. Sound effects and audio was well chosen and well synced with the submission.

~ Overall ~

A good job. Dreams can make really good flash submissions and I think this turned out rather well. It's worth a watch in my opinion.

It's always great to watch a collab with these authors on them. You guys are pretty good with flash. :)

~ Animation/Graphics ~

The pixel style is really a good look. Messy of course, but that's the style that I'm talking about. Kind of gives you the really old video game type feeling. Everyone here has a different style within the pixel style, which makes it interesting to watch.

~ Story/Content ~

The scenes that I enjoyed the most were the darker scenes. The ones that were at night and were packed full of action. I could really see a flash series made mainly about a dark city and crime with this kind of style.

The Pico scene would probably have to be one of my favorites. Angel did a good job on that one. The suicide scene by Jimtopia was pretty well detailed. I wish he would have shown a little bit of the falling though.

I'm not going to sit here and comment on every scene just because I don't have enough time or room in the review space, but for the most part the scenes were packed full of action and fun to watch.

~ Audio ~

It sounded great without sound effects and was it synced up really well with the audio that you used. I was impressed with how the timing with the audio was so good in this submission. It really fit well.

~ Overall ~

A great style done by good artists with interesting scenes full of action. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

~ Animation/Graphics ~

The animation style that you have is pretty good. It's original most of the time, but there are a few places where it gets just a little sloppy. It kind of adds to the comical feeling that you get from the submission though. Not the best animation or graphics, but clearly not bad at all.

~ Story/Content ~

Actually not as funny or as random as the first one that I watched. It really didn't include too much more of a story, but it was still pretty fun to watch. Still pretty random in all aspects too.

The over 9,000 joke was really lame and I knew it was coming. Very predictable.

This one seemed to have a lot of action in it. I can tell that you really put a lot of hard work into your submission and I do put effort into the rating that I give to people.

~ Audio ~

I really do think that a lot of the voices could be better quality. The Moose voice especially. To me it's sort of hard to understand and sounds kind of staticy. I don't know if it's the microphone or if your too close to the mic, etc.. Whatever it is I think it's really the only thing that would have to be worked on in this submission at all to make it better.

~ Overall ~

An interesting story. Keep me updated whenever you have a new submission because I enjoy your humor.
