Lol, the infamous Sirtom reviewed this. XD

The voice in this submission really works well, but I think you could have used a bit more voice to make the submission a tad bit better. Good background music as you say and it seems like it could be used for many different things if somebody wanted to use it in a flash, but it is a tad bit repetitive. Changing up the beat every now and then would have made it sound a tad bit better.

Perhaps working on the ending a little bit would have made it a little better also as it just kind of suddenly stops after being repetitive for quite awhile. In my opinion the best part was the introduction.

Hmm, I hope you do win in this contest as I think the song is done very good. Not only is the music really good, fast paced, and just fun to listen to all around, but the introduction of the voices in the beginning, middle, and ending were great.

I could just imagine a flash made with this with a piece of paper being printed, but actually more being involved in it that we think and as the paper is being printed it actually turns into a mini adventure in itself.

Here is another pretty good piece. Can't find anything wrong with it as it sounds really good all around. The glitches kind of caught me off guard, but hey that's what you want in a song sometimes so people don't know what to expect. Pretty good original sound to it all around and you mixed in a couple of good genres together that perhaps you wouldn't normally expect to hear together in the way you had them.

Good beat all around and sometimes it was fast/action like and in other parts it was slower/more relaxing.

SessileNomad responds:

ambient/glitch is really a genre that i think is a aquired taste, so i wouldnt be surprised if ppl were caught off guard

originality is a big thing to me, its hard to pull of somtimes though

peace out

Great music all around. Even though it was ambient music it wasn't repetitive like most get. Very good sound to it all around and I really enjoyed listening to this song. Very relaxing and yet at the same time made my imagination soar.

I think that's the best thing about this song actually. You can imagine so many different things for this. I usually tell the artist what their song makes me think of, but your song made me think of so many things that I might just run out of characters to review it with. Leaves a lot for the imagination as it could be used in so many situations.

SessileNomad responds:

yeah i see alot of ppl talk about how ambient gets repetitive, i guess you gotta be in the mood for it

im glad i make you think of alot of things

thx for reviewing

Not too bad at all. A little bit slow and not really something that I personally enjoy listening to, but still good quality in my opinion. A little bit of a rock feeling to it every now and then, but not really enough in my opinion. Could have used a bit more of it.

Sounds like a song that I've heard in real life before, but I couldn't really think of what it could be. As this really wasn't my style I'm finding a lack of words on how you could improve it or how I can critique your submission in anyway. For someone who liked this style it's done well though.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

thanx man! In reality, this aint my style either. I just like the whole harmonic aspect of it, as it fits the genre well. If I would have used a bit more rock, I would have fucked it up due to the fact that rock, upon i like it, aint my main genre of adherence.
If you think you've heard it in real life, think of maybe church. This song is original, the melody is mine, but in my opinion and even in the opinion of others who have heard it, it reminds them of a church hymn.
Well, thanx for the review.

Perhaps a little bit too long in this submission as well because after awhile I found it to get a bit repetitive. I do like the sound it had though. It had a very sad feeling to it, but yet at times perhaps hopeful at the same time. I did notice some static and I wasn't afraid to mention it because it seems like I wasn't the only person experiencing it.

The first thing that I thought of when I started listening to this was that it would be great for introductions or credits of a movie/game. This is where the long song might come in handy if the credits were to be long. As an intro song it would be cool for the movie to pan across different scenes as the music played.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

ooooo, i just noticed what yall was talkin bout when yall say static =/, that shit really aint static, its rain. I put rain sound effects in the background of the song to make it more 'epic.' Yes, I strongly agree, this song would be great for an intro or credits. I'm just waiting for the right person to find it... :(
Thanx for the review!

Pretty cool song all around. It had a good beat and melody to it. Something that can keep someone moving like most techno submissions should be able to do. I think in the beginning you could have used a bit more of a build up from the slower sounding song to the quicker song. Perhaps in my opinion it could have been about a half a minute shorter or so. I always find these songs to get a bit repetitive like that though. :P

Lastly, at the ending you could have had something a bit better in my opinion. It was kind of sudden and wasn't anything too great. Either end it on a better series of notes, a different series of notes, or make the fade just a tad bit longer so it wasn't so sudden.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

Yes, the melody was a great achievement for me. I loved the outcome.
thanx for the review! Your advice will help me in my future projects. Thanx

I like the slow introduction and then the build up that you used as it became quicker and quicker. Throughout the song itself it sounded pretty good. Perhaps a bit repetitive like usual, but not terrible.

I liked the little sound effect that you used at the end of the submission. Again, wouldn't mind hearing some of those faded out voices in this submission or even when it got a bit quiet there you could add something like a countdown for a rocket it whatever and when the countdown reached 0 it could be timed with the music picking back up.

Not digging it too much

Hmm, what I didn't enjoy about this is that the claps that you used made it way too repetitive in my opinion. Just having them almost the entire song didn't sound too good to me. When they quit though it was one of the best sounds in the whole frigging song lol. So yeah, perhaps you overused the clap a little bit too much.

Other than that again, another simple song. Yet again it's not something that I rather enjoyed, but decent quality all around. I thought this was a tad bit too long and got boring after awhile. On a side note my girlfriend thought it sounded like something that would be in a porno.

...My god. ;_;

Thanks for the review Fro, I know I've been a little trigger-happy with the percussion all around. ;)
