Audio Review Number 900

As usual I come back to you for my special reviews. I do this for one reason and one reason only at that's because your music is just down right awesome. Of course this song isn't any different as it kicked ass.

I loved the singing in this submission with the screams and more metal voices simply backing up instead of being the main attraction in this song. Vocals were great, lyrics were written very well, and you did a great job on producing a great piece of audio here.

I guess the only bad thing is when the song ends it ends. :( It's just one of those things you want to keep listening to you know? Also, I see that you haven't been on as much or submitting as much, but you got to keep making stuff so I have time to visit you ever 100 reviews or so. :P

Keep it up man.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Why thank you. I dig that you come around. I love reading your reviews. Thanks a lot for saving your big numbers for me. That is cool as fuck.
I'll keep making stuff, but ..yeah. Another story. :D No worries though. I'll still put collab stuff here. For sure.

Thanks again, dude. You fucking kick ass.

Ah, I do remember listening to some of your older stuff (back when I was Corky52) and let me say that you have improved a lot since then. What was that sound that you used in the beginning? Was that the crowd cheering? Either or it did sound like that and it sounded awesome. I think you could have used some voices here and there.

Perhaps a count down somewhere early in the song. Maybe even something around 30 seconds saying, "Here we go." So yeah, I think the only way to really improve the submission would to add some small vocals here and there, but other than that it sounded great.

Assios responds:

Yeah, I've improved a lot since those older songs ;P When I now listen to my older songs like electric snake, toxic snake etc..., I think they're really bad

Hmm, maybe I should try to add some voices to see how it is.. I've never used voices in my songs before, so maybe I should try it.

Thanks for the review! :D

Ha, this song reminds me of an old cop/detective movie where they are playing that cheesy music in the beginning to set up the introduction of the movie. It also makes me think of an old and dark club where people are drinking/smoking and there is the small band in the background that people really aren't paying that much attention to.

The backing does get a bit repetitive, but other than that it was well mixed and the guitar had enough variety to make the song enjoyable. Pretty good all around and I enjoyed listening to it. It made me smile a little bit for some reason.

Box-Killa responds:

haha yeas old cop movies all the way :D thanks for the review, yes to everything lol.

This song sounded really good all around. I loved the introduction the best as it just seemed more layed back then the rest of the song. It had a very relaxing sound to it all around even though it did pick up later on in the song. Very original sound to the entire thing as well.

In terms of a flash there are some parts that would be great for an introduction, parts in the flash itself, but I think it would be a great piece for the credits of a movie. (Not the whole song though unless the credits were that long)

I haven't heard the original and I probably won't, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you did it justice. Maybe the only thing that I didn't like was how long it was. It really didn't take much if anything away from the song, but I just guess I'm impatient. :P

Bracksta responds:

ya the original is at a trance bpm and this one at a hip hop pace. The original was not as long. sorry to make you wait, lol. I get impatient to, i understand. Thanks for all of the great feed back Fro, i'll look forward to your future reviews :D.

Pretty cool song. The first impression that I get from this song (and the same one that most people are getting from it) is that it's very relaxing. At the same time as it's relaxing it also has a sort of energy to it though. All around it gives it this happy/relaxing feeling where you can just enjoy the song and feel good about it.

I can't really think of anything else to say about it because I think it's perfectly fine the way that it is. Can't really critique it if I can't find anything wrong in my own opinion. :P So good job and keep up the good work.

INoisy responds:

Thank you very much, cheers man! Relaxing is what I was going for. ;D

888th audio review and a pretty good one to use it on I might say. :)

Very cool effects all around. I can see the alien theme for sure in this submission. I can see something hitting the ground and creating a cloud of dust. People slowly start to get closer to see what it is. That's when the aliens slowly start to emerge from the dust and they aren't very friendly. People start to run in fear as the aliens attack, which is represented by the song picking up there towards the middle/end.

I think it could be used in a lot of situations like that though where someone didn't know exactly what happened and then all of a sudden realized that they were in danger from something. You did a good job painting that image in my mind.

Great instruments and great sound all around. Good job.

Box-Killa responds:

hehe 888th review, that is NASTY man. Glad you liked it :D Thanks for the reivew

To be honest I found little to say about this. My overall impression was that it had many generic sounds to it and it wasn't anything too special, but it wasn't bad by any means. It was also quite long and in some parts it seemed to be drawn out or it might have gotten repetitive in a few spots.

I did start bouncing my foot to song a bit as it was playing so it did have a nice beat and I did get involved a bit, but like I said I think that the song itself was a tad bit drawn out and wasn't anything too special. Sorry for the harsh words.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

haha, no problem man! There aint nothin like harsh words in a review! As a matter of fact, the more 'harsh' words in a review, the better. The lead synths were basic, and that was because i couldnt find that 'right' one so i knew that i couldnt go wrong with a simple 8bit synth.
Thanx!

I agree that this song would be a very good match with a flash submission that needed some sort of RPG town song. The first thing that comes to mind is a sprite animation with Zelda sprites or something village like.

The song itself was very relaxing. It sounds like the type of music that I would like to fall asleep to. Actually, it sounds like something that I would expect to hear back in the day at high school (Oh god so many years ago) when we were forced to watch the high school band. I would secretly pretend that I didn't enjoy the songs like most of the other kids, but the real situation was actually I was just becoming very relaxed, which looked like I was being bored.

This song does exactly that and makes me think about all of that. Perhaps it did go on for a bit long as 6 minutes is quite long to listen to any song, but really other than that it sounds very good.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

ha, im sorry its a lil long but i had to do what i had to do ;). Thanx for the review, I agree, the song is very relaxing.

Woah, what a load of quality in such a short amount of time. Very cool glitch effects throughout the submission and the vocals in the beginning really sounded good all around. I'm sure this will be a great addition to the flash + audio collab.

I guess the only thought that I can really get out of this is that you should make it into a full song. Perhaps you should revisit this sometime and see what you can make out of it because it sounded really cool.

SessileNomad responds:

i might go back and make it a full song but im working on other stuff atm, and its all coming around really slowly so i probably wont see this one for a while

thanks for the review dude

peace out

Hey pretty cool song. I can't give you an awesome review like the other guys, but I can sure tell you what I thought about the song. :P I enjoyed the slower introduction and how calm it was. Very fast paced after the introduction and it had a wonderful sound to it like you could move your head to the beat.

Very nice build up effects and the song was mixed very well. I think it's one of the few trance songs that doesn't get too repetitive or boring after awhile as you had a nice amount of variety in it.

Overall it was done very well right up to the ending. Good job.

Bracksta responds:

thank you fro for the great review :D, keep up the reviews because your club rocks! One of the things i wish i would have done is made the guitar a piano like in my remix. thanks again!
