Lol at IamWeird33 for not knowing what a loop is. XD So don't worry I understand why your "song" ends so shortly. :P

Great loop for a video game. Especially an avoider type game, which just happens to go with the title of your submission quite nicely. ;) I was surprised on how much variety was packed into such a small piece of audio though. I'm always telling people to make loops a tad bit longer because they are always too repetitive, but yours was not only about perfect length, but also had the perfect amount of variety in it.

It sounds like a great loop to make a song into so if you plan on doing that then good luck! Also, happy belated birthday old man.

Im really you liked the variety i packed into this.. oit was a very lazy piece i threw together. Im kind of perplexed as to how i got such a good response.

Again thank you for the review and i apologize for tasking 2+ years to respond

By far one of my favorite techno songs that I've heard on this site. One of the genres that I really don't like at all because of it's many generic sounds and since half of the techno songs that you hear on this site just sound like each other.

This though sounded very professional and was just one of those songs that I can actually see myself dancing to. Since I'm currently sick and bed ridden though (no I don't think it's H1N1) I had to bop my head to the song instead of actually dancing to it.

Very good song all around. Great job.

Lol at the "revenge" review down below. People really do get worked up over silly things. :P As soon as this song started off I just knew that it was going to be very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. It was a great piece of classical music and sounded really good.

Good variety, good length, etc... Something that would probably very useful for a flash movie of some sort. It almost gives the feeling that something is sneaking around, but also has a sad feeling towards the ending of the song. Probably would get rejected from Disney though. XD

I'll agree with Haggard that it does start off a bit too slow, but you make up with it with the nice middle section of the song. I'll have to disagree with the ending part though as I thought the slower ending with all the instruments and sounds except for the one fading out sounded really good and just seemed to go with the theme of the song.

My first thought of the song was that it was going to be something to do with Zelda just because of the title. :P I do wish it was a tad bit longer. I really liked the mixture of different genres also as they sound very good together.

Step responds:

Hey thanks :). I fixed the intro by adding delay and reverb on the piano, having some fade-in - fade-out strings in the background and making the tambourines a little less simple. As for the ending, I added an extra chord to the end to give the ending more significance. Lol, I completely forgot about Zelda when I made the title, and never knew it'd be so close :P. Anyway, thanks for the great review, I'll be sure to make it longer with some counter-melodies.

A game that I never played before so I haven't heard the original and I'm too lazy to do a quick search to hear the original online. My girlfriend automatically knew what it was though listening to it so it must sound a lot like the original one. It sounds very professional also so good job if you did this all by yourself. If you just took the original song and remixed it... well.. I'm pretty sure that's against the rules. :P

An all around enjoyable song to listen to though. Very upbeat and fun all around. Would be great for any Mario like flash game (duh), but also many other types of flash games or even movies.

Cosmos8942 responds:

This tune is...timeless I guess you could say. ANYBODY that has ever played the original Dr. Mario will recognize this piece. Having said that I'll admit I stuck fairly close to the original because, in essence, whats the point of a remix if you completely rip apart what made the original good in the first place? The 8-bit sounds and nostalgia you feel when you listen to this piece (if you have played the game) is what helps keep its flavor. The remix simply capitalizes on that fact and brings in another level, one that they may not have been able to bring about waaaay back in the day.

What I am trying to say is that when I remix something it is always a balancing act between keeping the texture of the original (and its flavor) while sprinkling my own spices onto it to make it something new.

Mix:
3 Cups Original Flavoring [Right outta the box!]
1 Cup Crushed Texture
1/2 Cup Well-mixed samples
2 Teaspoons Originality
2 Teaspoons Secret Spice
1 Teaspoon Sledgehammer to the computer for fking up and not letting me save
1/2 Teaspoon Timing
and a heaping amount of enjoyment.

That, my friend, is what creates a good piece...yes...including the sledgehammer. Creates a nice KICK you see ^^.

Overall I understand what you are saying. As for the "If you just took the original song and remixed it...well...I'm pretty sure that's against the rules. :P" I'll admit I do occasionally rip a track or two that is simply too complicated to easy place down or one I want to keep exactly as is but this is mine. I highly doubt you're going to find percussion like what you hear in this piece...though you might hear similar percussion in the future hehe.

Not exactly a great response I know..but I am tired and I don't like to keep reviews waiting.

Thanks though, I'll give a shout when I get another one on stage.

I'm highly offended by the last review. I had never played Chrono Trigger either, but I do live in a cave and I don't see what the problem is with that. Also, you can't delete this one now as you have requested a review for it in the Review Request Club and it would be very rude to all of the members if they lost a review. :P

Yes, I've never played this game, but what I can tell from the song is that it would be a great song for anything that has a RPG feel to it. Something like Final Fantasy or other related RPG where there is the happy town or village sound that you here after fighting the random monsters outside.

Great song all around as it sounds great and there really isn't much for me to critique if anything at all so my review is just one of praise. Good job.

Cosmos8942 responds:

I agree, I lived in a cave and it was quite lovely >:[, DEATH TO SS! Jk jk, but seriously, lets continue :3.

I won't be deleting this one...period. What I meant was that the original remix of this piece was deleted and I had to restart from an older copy I had...might've been a good thing come to think of it o.o.

The original is a very well-done 'can't-get-it-out-of-your-head' type of piece that really flowed with the game and released the mood just a tiny bit more. Quite the classic I should say. Overall I made this song because I wanted a little more of a challenge, take an already great piece and make it better...did I succeed, well who knows? Either way I really enjoyed this one and I might go back and do more from the game to see if I can top it.

Thanks alot for the review :)

A very good song all around. I really can't think of anything to critique it as I really don't know much about music, but from someone who casually listens to music I can say that it really sounded good.

Right from the beginning of the song it started of really quick and was fun to listen to. It maintained it's fast paced, fun nature, all the way through the entire song, making it fun to listen to the entire way through.

The length of the song was great and it never really got too repetitive or boring. The song itself could be used for many different situations in a flash game or movie whether it be in the introduction, credits, or in the submission itself.

Blah, Blah, Blah, repeating what you've already heard the beginning was terrible and kind of hurt my ears. The rest of the song at hand really didn't have much structure. It really didn't have very good transitions as well as things just kind of ran together.

Some of the sounds that you had did sound very good though and you do have a base to make a decent song if you work out a few kinks here and there.

~ Review Request Club ~

~ Review Request Club ~

Well I guess I have the same complaints as the other people had. The transitions were a bit rough and that's coming from someone that really doesn't know much about music, which means they were a bit obvious in this submission. :P

The song itself is pretty good though. It really reminds me of something where you would see a character discovering a wonderful world that he has never seen before and there isn't any limits on what he can do. It kind of goes with the title of the song as well.

PuffballsUnited responds:

Yep, most people have been giving me the same advice, so I know which parts aren't working.

This song contained everything that I enjoy in a classical type of song (even if you don't have it in that genre, the piano really gives it that feel). I love the strings and the piano here and it sounds really good in the song.

It was real fast paced and you had a lot of variety packed into such a short song. The only thing that I wish was better with this song was basically it's length. I felt like you could have made it a bit longer, but I really wouldn't call it a major problem.

Good job on the song all around.
